In this tournament there are 2 man teams made up of 1 junior and 1 senior. After the tournament, a free meal is provided to all tournament competitors. The scoring method used is a 2 man Scramble.
In this tournament, each team member tees off at each hole. The captain selects the best shot and marks the position with a tee. Both members drop their own ball within six inches of the tee (not nearer the hole) and play them. This method of selecting the best of the two shots and allowing both members to play from that location continues until the hole is completed.
Minimum Number of Drives Used From Each Golfer
Each golfer must contribute a minimum of 5 drives each.
Sand, Hazard, and Rough.
If the ball selected for play landed in the sand, hazard, or rough, all team members must play the next shot from that sand, hazard, or rough.
Maximum Number of Consecutive Shots Used From the Same Golfer
There is no restriction on maximum number of consecutive shots.
There are some great prizes with at least 1 prize for every junior golfer.
There are two categories for the teams. All juniors with an established handicap will compete in a net team score competition. Juniors without an established handicap will compete in a gross team score competition.
The team handicap is calculated as the total of the two players handicaps, divided by 2, multiplied by 75%, rounded down to the nearest whole number.
